A hosting server can carry several PHP branches so different applications can use the versions they require. MultiPHP Manager exposes those choices at the domain level, subject to the versions and permissions provided by the administrator.

Changing a domain's assigned version is different from installing a security patch. The menu chooses among available PHP environments; it does not establish whether a vendor has backported a specific fix to each one. Some setups also involve PHP-FPM pool settings or an inherited system default.

On CloudLinux systems, PHP Selector and MultiPHP Manager can affect the result in different ways. Administrators should understand which mechanism has priority for the domain instead of assuming a control-panel label describes the live handler.

For verification, note the selected domain and PHP version, identify the package provider and fixed build, and check that the site is actually being served by the intended runtime.
