Plesk supports hosting environments on Linux and Windows. Site administrators can often inspect or change a domain's PHP version, PHP handler and permitted settings through its interface, although the available choices depend on what the server administrator installed.
A Plesk server may offer several PHP handlers. The PHP version used by one site can differ from both the operating system's default binary and the version another domain uses. This can cause confusion when checking a remote vulnerability from a shell.
Plesk-packaged PHP and operating-system-provided PHP may also come from different maintenance channels. A version selection screen is useful for locating the active handler, but package-level security status still requires advisory and build information.
To verify remediation, identify the domain's PHP handler, inspect the exact provider package and fixed build, apply the supported update and confirm that the web-serving workers use it.
